Rastamon, your Tea Party rants have been Duly NOTED (many times)! This is an OWS Forum - NOT a Tea Party forum.

The OWS movement is NOT a Political Party. The Tea Pary movement is a Politcal Party.

Your post does NOT represent the 99 per cent's spirit. OWS is a peaceful movement. Please, stop using your name-calling, and stop using Hate-Speech. Please stop being ridiculous. Be more rational and calm. Thank You. Then, possibly, we may continue to have a civil discussion (which I believe is dearly neeeded right now).

word counter usage I found in your silly Rant!

OK, with respect to you,(not the OWS) I'll desist from ever posting on your forum again, but first kick down some of that killer shit, I'm low, bogus tea u know, need some killer owsgreen - haha...but first...

Hell Monte, It's not my rant, look at the " ". I can copy and paste as well as you, but since it's YOUR sub-forum and We the People aint me and I'm so political, I won't bring you occupiers any more enlightenment. Btw, nice use of color in your post, it's wonderful! You may not realize it but,
"You and big George can occupy my toilet bowl!" was not to you personally, just the radical "we the one-percenters" and other fascist propeller heads in your..grunt-ahhhhh..commie...ahhh....
movement. If any of you carry a picture of Chairman Mao, you aint gonna make it with anyone anyhow.(flushes toilet)

You're coming along nicely in your radicalization. After I'm publicly denounced - if you're ever in charge of the re-education camp, please be kind :)

Now go restart your bonfire, go occupy something! lol

Maybe it's time to ask The Archive to add a Forum to their Tea Party Movement collection.
http://www.archive.org/details/teapartymovement

Your TPM messages are important for your cause. They belong in in the TPM, correct? Why not ask The Archive if they could add a Forum for you guys? Or you can e-mail them privately. My suggestion would be to ask Jeff Kaplan. He's a good Admin.

Jeff announced the new OWS collection. Several days later, a Forum 'appeared'.
http://www.archive.org/post/397727/the-occupy-wall-street-moving-is-taking-hold-peacefully-rasta

Besides myself, Other OWS messengers are noticeably absent from this OWS forum. I'm sick of talking to myself. I was able to get into the fundamentals, and help develop a baseline for The Archive's patrons to consider. The basic messages for the OWS movement(s) are important. Maybe we can both shut-up?

Where is the hate-speech in what rasta posted in his democracy into mobacrasy? The words you pointed out were not hateful words so please show us where it is and please stop saying that this OWS movement represents the 99% when it clearly does not and only represents a few compared to the population of the US

If you, myself, or Rastamon were to go down to an OWS rally today, and attempt to speak this way, OWS moderators will ask us to please not do that when you're in the OWS group.

That's my context. I'm censoring myself here. And I've been censored at the OWS rally in my own town. When someone uses that type of language in a short message, a Moderator will cue that individual and ask them to please refrain. Otherwise the Moderators will ask the individual to move away from our crowd because that's not how we discuss the OWS message(s).

Ball Players in Major League Baseball are not allowed to yell at the Umpires. Yet some Ball Players yell at the Umpires. Sometimes they're thrown out of the game, sometimes not, sometimes they're told to stop yelling. Whatever. I'm just making suggestions.

Lots of pot shots going on here, I might add. I remain peaceful about this. But by no means am I maintaining law and order on this forum, or telling anyone what to do.

Well then that is censorship at any level and the OWS group then clearly does not know what free speech is, and please don't take this the wrong way Monte because I see that you are passionate about your views as I am about mine but "moderators and ceratin words" sound like China and the redbooks that many were forced to carry around. If it is a protest and people are censored then it really isn't a protest, it is only what a few certain "moderators" want you to say and talk about. Again I don't mean to get on you Monte but that last post about Moderators and ceratin words is a little scary at a freedom protest. Just sayin

OWS is not a 'free-speech' movement. Try the ACLU. The OWS movement's message is their anger over excessive corporate greed. Period! Other messages are 'up for grabs'. Period.

OWS groups are asking for a free speech platform about this, but in a peaceful and non-violent manner. This has been declared, agreed upon, re-declared, and re-agreed upon many dozens of times by scores of OWS groups. Period.

A peaceful and non-violent manner means no name-calling and/or no hate-speech, particularly in a ranting and repetitive fashion, like the example in this thread. Is civility too much to ask for? If you used hate-speech in rants at work, your boss would fire you immediately. Period. Hate-speech is wrong, period. Most people don't like hate-speech. Fact! Many people have spoken at length regarding problems with hate-speech. In any case, you're free to say anything you want, where ever you want, when ever you want. Free Speech has its consequences too.

Please, let me be perfectly clear: OWS is simply asking people to not use hate-speech on their protest signs at OWS rallies, OWS protests, and OWS marches. They don't want to look bad as a group. It's a fact. It's fair, imo, deadhead53. No more, no less. Can't you get that? OWS people know they're free to tell you anything they want, and visa-versa. Go to an OWS rally yourself. It's not scary! By all means, please feel free to say anything you want to all the OWS people standing around you.

Let me try to put it to you another way. Make believe you and I are at an OWS Rally. Imo - 'Posting messages in this OWS Forum is the same thing (to me) as using an OWS sign at an OWS Protest Rally' -- BECAUSE this is an OWS forum, containing OWS messages, that [some] OWS acitivists are trying to get out. In effect, that makes each posting here an 'OWS sign', imo, just like an OWS sign at an OWS rally.

Therefore, I've elected to not use hate-speech in posts and messages of mine - on 'this Forum' - that represent the OWS movement. I'm suggesting others consider this point. Imo, posting here is 'the same thing as' displaying an OWS protest sign at an OWS rally.' My explanation: civility should be used when putting out OWS messages.

Two weeks ago, I made a sign at an OWS rally one day. My sign said, Anderson Cooper is a Liar! (It should have said, "Anderson Cooper is dishonest!" - don't you see the difference?) A couple of OWS moderators asked me not to use that sign while they were there protesting at the OWS rally. After a few minutes, I decided not to use that sign. I held up several other OWS signs instead. It made good sense to me at the time. People are watching us, our message(s), and our 'every move'. You're using a fine-toothed comb on me right now, for example.

Today, if I were posting an OWS 'type of message', and I wanted to say: 'Anderson Cooper is a Liar!,' then - imo, I would probably post that type of speech in a message on another Forum. The GD Forum is full of hate speech, for example, even though I find that disturbing. I'm guilty of using some name-calling and some hate-speech there and elsewhere, but I try and keep it to a minimum. But, I'm not using hate-speech in this OWS forum.

Here's me bashing Anderson Cooper - but, I posted this on the Text Forum
http://www.archive.org/post/331913/emergency-petition-to-google-dont-be-evil

This is strictly my opinion and my idea. It makes sense to me to not use hate-speech on the OWS Forum. I'm just saying. Please, stop splitting hairs on this. Thank You. I am not in charge of anything. I appreciate you asking me. But, I've given you lots of my time on this, and I have to believe 'you get' what I'm saying. That's all I have to say about this right now. Ask some other knowledgeable OWS people about this. OWS is a 'work in progress'. I'm not a Politcal Scientist, nor have you indicated you are. Say anything you want. Go to a Tea Party Rally.

If I'm wrong about my 'facts' or 'actions' - blame me, NOT the OWS movement. Thanks.

Re: hate speech in the words Rastamon posted, which I noted:

communist = 4
radical = 4
anti-American = 3
anarchist = 2

I repeat: imagine Rastamon mentioned George Soros to me at work. Imagine if I said, I like OWS. Imagine if Rasta made his rant (or Noise Collector made one), and intimated that I was a communist, radical, anti-American, and an anarchist -- calling me these four names thirteen times in two minutes of speech -- at work. At this point, I am supposed to ask the individual to please stop. I'm supposed to indicate that this speech offends me, and it's not acceptable behavior in our work place. The offender is expected to stop. The boss is demanding to be informed -- immediately -- if any of this behavior is going on in the work place. Fact! In our example, what was said is not dispute. We have witnesses.

If I told my boss that I was highly offended by this name-calling at work, Rastamon would be fired - most likely. He might get a warning the first time. If so, he'd be told if he did it again, he'd be fired.

I can only ask you to reconsider what I've said to you already
"In any case, you're free to say anything you want, where ever you want, when ever you want. Free Speech has its consequences too.

Please, let me be perfectly clear: OWS is simply asking people to not use hate-speech on their protest signs at OWS rallies, OWS protests, and OWS marches.

You can use my free tool to decode the talking points:

And my handy bullshit filter can come in handy as well:

And of course the tea party racism detector is a blast at parties:

Oh and by the way, the retard that reviewed the item and said I "combed trough" footage just proves that arguing with these people is futile. The accusations made were FROM THAT SPECIFIC video and a $100k reward for proving it happened remains unpaid. Facts are their worst enemas. Detract, distract, etc.... pointless. I only argue for fun now, I know there is no hope in making people realize they are wrong when they believe they are right.

Goldman Sachs vs. Occupy Wall Street: a controversy in the banking community

Greg Palast investigates the story behind Goldman Sachs’ recent decision to pull out of a fundraiser for the Lower East Side People’s Federal Credit Union in New York City after it learned the event was honoring the protesters at Occupy Wall Street. The investment bank withdrew its name from the fundraiser and also canceled a $5,000 pledge. Was the $5,000 a Goldman Sachs donation or actually American taxpayer bailout money Goldman set aside for community banks?

Greg Palast, is an investigative reporter with the BBC and author of the books Armed Madhouse and The Best Democracy Money Can Buy. His next book, out in November, is called Vultures’ Picnic: In Pursuit of Petroleum Pigs, Power Pirates, and High-Finance Carnivores.

Re: George Soros (1 % club), Billionaires (1 % club), and Insider Trading (1 % club)
from Wikipeadia - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Soros
• In 1988, Soros's trading activities included his strategy of accumulating shares in four French companies: Société Générale, as well as Suez, Paribas and the Compagnie Générale d’Électricité.

In 1989, the Commission des Opérations de Bourse (COB) conducted an investigation of whether Soros' transaction in Société Générale should be considered insider trading. The COB is the French stock exchange regulatory authority. The COB concluded that the statutes, regulations and case law relating to insider trading did not clearly establish that a crime had occurred, and that no charges should be brought against Soros.

Several years later, a Paris-based prosecutor reopened the case against Soros and two other French businessmen, disregarding the COB's findings. This resulted in Soros' 2005 conviction for insider trading by the Court of Appeals (he was the only one of the three to receive a conviction). The French Supreme Court confirmed the conviction on June 14, 2006, but reduced the penalty to the minimum.

Punitive damages were not sought because of the delay in bringing the case to trial. Soros denied any wrongdoing, saying news of the takeover was public knowledge and it was documented that his intent to acquire shares of the company predated his own awareness of the takeover.

His insider trading conviction was upheld by the highest court in France on June 14, 2006. In December 2006, he appealed to the European Court of Human Rights on various grounds including that the 14-year delay in bringing the case to trial precluded a fair hearing. On the basis of Article 7 of the European convention on human rights, stating that no person may be punished for an act that was not a criminal offense at the time that it was committed, the Court agreed to hear the appeal. In October 2011, the court rejected his appeal in a 4–3 decision, saying that Soros has been aware of the risk of breaking insider trading laws.

"The OWS movement is NOT a Political Party. The Tea Pary movement is a Politcal Party."

WHAT?

I hope you are kidding....

I had you pegged for someone who actually researched stuff.

HOW MANY TEA PARTIES DID YOU GO TO?

What "political parties" handed you a business card?

I got about 7 and none of them were members of any political party called "the tea party"

They were obscure and unknown third parties ranging from libertarian to constitutionalists. Not one said "democrat", "republican", or "tea party"

And if you think people are going be quiet on here after listening to 8 years of bush bashing, 10 years of fox bashing, and 2 years of tea party bashing by the media, hollywood, and out own democrat politicians you must be out of your friggin mind.

The left wing made out the tea party as boogeymen, violent, bigoted extremists at every chance they could. Fake racial slur accusations, infiltrators with signs, exaggerations of signs that were not even worth mentioning, the list went on. Nancy Pelosi saw swatstikas and hitler signs AFTER 8 years of hitler/bush antics all over the place? REALLY?

Millionaires out protesting with people who are protesting against millionaires?

Can you honestly tell me how anyone could take any of this serious?

Now the nazi's, and commies, and anarchist, and socialist are out there vandalizing and fighting the cops and your movement is still venerated by some on the left.

Maybe you missed the unions and newly metamorphed acorn "organizing" this "community" of astro turf (as pelosi said about the tea party protests).

If you don't see the hypocrisy, like most, you never will.

This orwellian "Some animals are more equal than other animals" dichotomy is transparent to all... even moderates.

Like I said, it's ALL a dog and pony show.... these protesters should be out front of the whitehouse over solyndra, goldman sachs, acorn, and all the other corruption and squandered tax dollars scandals that have gone practically ignored by the media quizzlings.... yeah... attach the employers in a period of high unemployment... that makes sense.

Again, I am all for freedom of speech, but freedom of hypocrisy I am against.

Jon Corzine’s MF Global Firm Collapses in Biggest Wall Street Failure Since Lehman Brothers

• 03 Nov 2011
http://www.democracynow.org/2011/11/3/jon_corzines_mf_global_firm_collapses

In a major banking scandal, the commodities and derivatives brokerage house MF Global filed one of the largest bankruptcies in American corporate history — with almost $40 billion in liabilities. It was the largest failure on Wall Street since the collapse of Lehman Brothers in 2008. The chairman and chief executive officer of MF Global is Jon Corzine, a former New Jersey governor and U.S. senator. Corzine is also the former CEO of Goldman Sachs.

MF Global is the biggest U.S. casualty so far of the European debt crisis. “We’ve just continued to have one financial crisis after another. It’s because of the incentive system on Wall Street that badly needs to change, and has not changed one iota,” says William Cohan, author of “Money and Power: How Goldman Sachs Came to Rule the World." “As we just saw with this bankruptcy of MF Global, there’s nothing in the Dodd-Frank law, nothing in the regulations that are being written, that is going to change the incentives."
